Junior Police Academy

The 2019 Malden Junior Police Academy (JPA) will begin on Monday, July 8th 2019 and conclude on Friday, July 12th 2019. The program is designed for students entering the 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade this fall. The JPA will begin promptly at 9:00am and end at approximately 3:00pm each day. A limited number of cadets will be accepted to the week long program. You must be sure you can attend during these dates before submitting an application. If a cadet fails to comply with the rules of the JPA or fails to cooperate with fellow cadets or staff, he or she will be immediately removed from the program.
The JPA will feature a variety of training situations in which all cadets will be required to participate. The JPA will include, but not be limited to: classroom instruction, hands-on police tactics training, physical training, travel days to special events and more. Lunch will be provided each day.

An officer will contact you to confirm the child's acceptance into the program. The deadline to apply is June 21st, 2019, however we anticipate the program filling up quickly so applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Mayor's Office Conference Room. We meet every 2nd Thursday of the month at 3:00pm in Mayor's Conference room. This Coalition is open to all who want to work with our youth.

Four Guys in Tuxes
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and experience a great night of outdoor live music at the Malden Public Library (36 Salem Street). All concerts are free and sponsored by the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, with additional support from the Friends of the Malden Public Library. In case of rain, concerts will be moved inside.
