The City of Malden’s Annual Veterans Day Parade will kick off at 10 AM on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the corner of Elm and Pleasant Streets (across from the former American Legion). This year’s parade route will be changed to accommodate the 11 AM dedication of the World War I Memorial at Devir Park which takes place at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month to coincide with the signing of the armistice that ended WWI 100 years ago on November 11, 1918. The parade will proceed south onto Pleasant Street turning left onto Highland Avenue and will turn right onto Malden Street ending at the corner of Malden Street and the Fellsway. Retired Brigadier General Leonid Kondratiuk, the Commissioner of the Massachusetts WWI Centennial Commission, will be the guest speaker.
If you would like further information about the parade and/or would like to participate, please call the Malden Veterans Office at 781-397-7139 or email kjarvis@cityofmalden.org.
