Breno Football Camp

Come learn football from NFL Player and Malden High School graduate - Breno Giacomini - RT, Oakland Raiders. Breno will be joined by current and former NFL players to teach best practice techniques he and his friends have learned through their years of playing football.
When: Friday May 18th & Saturday May 19th
Where: Malden, MA - MacDonald Stadium
Who: K through 6th Graders (6:00 - 7:00 PM), 7th through 12th Graders (7:15 - 9:00 PM)

Sunset Storytelling

Sunset, Storytelling & Stargazing on Waitt’s Mount
Leonard St.
Held in collaboration with Ward 4 City Councillor Ryan O’Malley, join us at Waitt’s Mount Park in Malden for children’s storytelling at sunset with professional storyteller Sharon Kennedy, and community storytelling (“Stories Only You Can Tell”) under the direction of CD Collins. Stargazing begins at twilight with telescopes provided by amateur telescope makers from the Greater Boston area. Complete details will be provided on the “Events” page of the Malden Reads website. Mystic Herring Run

Please join the Mystic River Watershed Association for our 22nd annual Mystic River Herring Run and Paddle. Terrific prizes are donated by local businesses. This is a family-fun event with children's activities, music, art, and more!
8:00am Bib pickup and day-of registration starts
9:00am 5K run/walk starts
11:00am 12 mile paddling race starts
11:15am 9 mile paddling race starts & Bike to the Sea Mystic bike tour departs (bring your own bike)
11:30am 3 mile paddling race starts

Do you want to paddle but don't have a canoe, kayak, or stand up paddleboard? Charles River Canoe & Kayak will deliver the boat or board to the race for you. Call Mark at 617-965-5110
