CONGRESSWOMEN CLARK & PRESSLEY TO HIGHLIGHT WORKERS, SURVIVORS, PUSH FOR TIME’S UP BILL
Be HEARD Act is first sweeping legislation to address harassment in the workplace

  Democratic Caucus Vice Chair Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-5) and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-7) will hold a press conference with workers’ rights organizations and activists to highlight the introduction of the Bringing an End to Harassment by Enhancing Accountability and Rejecting Discrimination (Be HEARD) in the Workplace Act following a tour of Casa Myrna.

Be HEARD is the first comprehensive bill addressing workplace harassment and sexual assault following the #MeToo movement that emerged in 2017. It sends a clear message to those who think they can get away with assault or harassment on the job: time is up.  Clark introduced the legislation on April 9^th in the House. Pressley is a co-sponsor and co-lead on the bill.
