Book Launch

The Malden Public Library will host Matt Brennan (a local author and resident of Malden) who will be launching his new book, The Darkness. It's his first launch and would loveto see as many people there as possible. He will have also have limited number of signed copies of his book on hand, plus an ordering station setup. On Thursday evening, Oct 25, MassDOT is holding a 25 percent Design Public Hearing in Malden on the "Proposed Exchange Street Improvements MassDOT Project No. 608275 from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Malden Senior Center, 7 Washington Street Malden.
The proposed project extends on Exchange Street from Abbott Street to Main Street. The proposed project consists of roadway and safety enhancements along the Exchange Street corridor including pavement resurfacing; minor geometric improvements; a separated bike lane; sidewalk reconstruction including curb extensions, driveways and wheelchair ramps; parallel parking accommodation; LED pedestrian scale lighting; drainage modifications; street furnishings (i.e., bicycle racks, benches, trees and ADA compliant tree grates, trash receptacles, etc.); traffic signs and pavement marking improvements.
