The Improbable Players

Running on E: A Play by The Improbable Players 3:00 PM Malden Public Library The Improbable Players are coming to the Malden Public Library for a fantastic, free, and educational event. On May 9th at 3 p.m., the Improbable Players will present “Running on E.” The play tells the story of four high school seniors split apart by drug and alcohol addiction. Grades 6-12 and adults. Q & A to follow performance. Improbable Players Mission Statement: To set the stage for prevention by educating the public about addiction and recovery through dramatic performances and theater workshops -presented by actors who are in long-term recovery from addictions – that help people recognize situations in their own lives and seek the help they need.

Malden YMCA to hold 2019 Inspiration Celebration Fundraiser The Malden YMCA will host their annual Inspiration Celebration at River’s Edge in Medford. This event will celebrate the people who help the Malden YMCA deliver impactful programs in Everett, Malden and Medford and will also benefit our youth development programs. Our extensive programs serve over 1,000 children and teens annually in our 5 youth community centers, STEM and robotics programs, childcare and early learning centers and much more. There will be raffle items and a silent auction as well as food and drink being served.
