Trick-or-Treat
10/25/2015 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Malden’s 2nd Annual Trick-or-Treat on the Bike Path
Malden’s second Annual Trick-or-Treat on the Bike Path event will be held on Sunday, October 25th from 10 AM – 12 Noon along the Bike Path beginning at Medford Street. Malden residents and their children up to age 14 are welcome to attend dressed in costumes, hear great music, earn prizes and trick-or-treat! Ward 1 City Councillor Peg Crowe and the Junior Aid Association of Malden are sponsoring the event.
This tradition began last year when Beebe School student Cameron D’Entremont wrote to Mayor Christenson and the City Council proposing an idea he had for a Halloween celebration on the Bike Path. Cameron’s proposal was to bring back the spirit of Halloween - one of his favorite times of year - on the Bike Path. He proposed a new tradition where the Bike Path would be used as a venue for trick-or-treaters and volunteers would hand out candy. Last year was such success – we are doing it again this year!
To volunteer, please contact Susan Higgins at 781-858-2579 or susan.higgins@yahoo.com.
