MHSAA annual meeting
10/16/2016 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
The Malden High School Alumni Association will hold its annual membership meeting Sunday Oct. 16, 2016, to elect a new Board of Directors and other officers and to discuss ways to move forward following the passing of its president former Supt. George Holland. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. in the school library, 2nd floor, 77 Salem St., and is open and free to graduates, those who attended MHS, and other MHSAA members. Election of a new Board of Directors, including president and other officers, is the primary item on the agenda. Nominations will be accepted from the floor. To qualify a person needs to be a graduate and must be elected by the membership at the annual meeting.
The association will also discuss ways to continue and improve its mission to raise funds to provide scholarships and support various other programs that benefit the students and the school.
A major fundraiser, the 2nd annual MHSAA Holiday Pasta Party, is already set for Saturday, Nov. 26, following Malden’s traditional holiday parade. This public celebration will take place at Anthony’s function hall on Canal Street. More on this later. The alumni group is also planning other entertaining events for 2017. One already booked is the Spring Doo Wop Show on April 2, 2017.
