Celebrate Mardi Gras ~ Masks & Crafts on Feb. 9
It’s Mardi Gras! On Tuesday, February 9 at 6 p.m.
Come learn about the art of Venice and create masks in the tradition of the Mardi Gras. Basic mask making materials will be provided, but participants are invited to bring any materials they would like to use.
This craft program is for ALL ages (adult and youth) and will be followed by a 7 p.m. tour of the Converse Art galleries. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

State of the City Address

The Malden Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Mayor Gary Christenson’s Annual State of the City Address on Tuesday, February 25th at 7:30am at Anthony’s of Malden. The Mayor will be reflecting on 2015 and where the City is headed at the start of his 2nd term in 2016. Mayor’s Safety Awareness Meeting

Mayor Gary Christenson will hold his monthly Public Safety Awareness meeting on Saturday, February 27th from 7-9 PM at the Outreach Community & Reform Center, 22 Pleasant Street, 3rd Floor, to address the latest crime statistics and trends citywide. Mayor Christenson will be joined by Police Chief Kevin Molis, Fire Chief Jack Colangeli and Department of Public Works Director, Bob Knox, who will be on hand to answer questions and address concerns.

“This month’s meeting will be held at the Mosque, and all are welcome to learn the best ways to stay safe in the City,” said Mayor Christenson.
Each month the Mayor holds a meeting in a different part of the City.
