On Tuesday, August 20, Galvin and Barbara Murphy and Yankee Pest will be hosting the Yankee Pest Jamboree to Benefit Bread of Life. . Event will be held 5-8PM at Yankee Pest Control, 20 Waite Ct., Malden.
The event will be a family friendly evening of food samplings, music, and more to raise awareness of Bread of Life’s Capital Campaign to build a new facility in Malden.
Founded in 1980, Bread of Life is a one of the largest providers and distributors of food to at risk families in Greater Boston. In 2018, Bread of Life staff and volunteers served over one million meals to hungry, homeless, and isolated families and individuals. Programs provided by Bread of Life include serving evening meals four nights per week to approx. 100 guests in addition to offering food pantry services from Malden and Everett food pantries. Bread of Life also delivers food to senior citizens in public housing and to at-risk teens and homeless families sheltered in local motels.
Bread of Life is currently working on an “Under One Roof Campaign” to build a new facility where all services can be provided in one building; kitchen, food pantries and a resource community room.
The Yankee Pest Jamboree welcomes guests to learn about Bread of Life and to inquire about programs. Entertainment provided by Freddy G’s Happy Hour Band and Deejay Abyss. Food tastings provided by Cornucopia, Dairy Delight, Dom’s Sausage, Pisa Pizza and Serena’s with more to follow.
Opportunities will be available for guests to make a pledge and donate to Bread of Life’s Capital Campaign. Your contribution will help Bread of Life reach its goal of 2.9M.
