Brewery Supports Malden DAV

Posted on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 9:16 AM by Mayor's Office

Idle Hands Craft Ales brewery recently held a fundraiser in support of the Malden Disabled American Veterans organization. Mayor Gary Christenson stopped by to commend Idle Hands owners and staff on their partnership with the Black Ale Project, a craft beer initiative that collaborates with breweries across the nation to raise money for and awareness of U.S. War Veterans. Participating breweries release a special beer and a portion of sales proceeds of that beer directly benefit veteran’s organizations. Idle Hand’s newly released brew is called “Check (Fund)raise” and is a variation of their American Stout called Check Raise. Check Raise was aged on toasted oak and orange peel to give it further character. A portion of that beer’s sales will be donated to Malden DAV until the four kegs they brewed are gone.
