AboutUs
Leo M. Norton (1898-1980) Established the Leo M. Norton Funeral Home in Malden, Massachusetts in 1920, after working several years as a Trade Embalmer in the Malden area. He lived among the families he served. An active member of the community, personal service was an important part of his work as a Funeral Director. He combined his knowledge and experience with his qualities of patience, understanding and confidence in his ability to provide personal service in a calm and quiet manner.
Leo M. Norton died in 1980 leaving the business to his children Alfred, Leo Jr., Rosemary, Edward, Richard, Paul & Kathy, with the daily operation being carried on by Leo Jr. 'Marty' and Alfred 'Freddie'. They continued the philosophy of their father, committed to giving caring and professional service to all. In 2000 Thomas J. Morris (Grandson of the Founder) joined the business. In 2004 after the retirement of his uncles Tom assumed day to day management of the Funeral Home.
Funeral Director since 1989, Tom was fortunate to have learned directly from his Grandfather, the ideals necessary to meet the needs of the families he serves. From 1987-2000 Tom was a Funeral Director with the Hallett Funeral Home in South Yarmouth, MA where he gained extensive experience in Funeral Service. Tom lives locally with his wife Susan and their two daughters Delaney and Bethany. He is proud to carry on the legacy of Norton Funeral Home into the third generation.
